The event is SFEDI’s annual celebration of those that are excelling in enterprise learning and skills and brings together key players from the enterprise skills sector in the UK.
The awards recognise enterprising excellence in a range of settings, from new start businesses, to innovative learning centres, enterprising employees to international business success, we show how enterprising excellence can be found at all levels and in doing so show how investing in skills can achieve outstanding results.
The CCATF, seeks to collaborate and partner with all types of organisations within the Skills, learning & development and apprenticeships arena. By supporting the work of SFEDI, and more recently the ‘Apprenticemakers’ project the CCATF seek to drive awareness and add value to the dialogue within the young er school leaver community, giving them an ‘open view’ of the opportunities that vocational job learning such as apprenticeships can offer.
The CCATF will be represented at the event, hosted by Lord Wei of Shoreditch, by Christopher Selby, Head of Marketing, Communications and External Affairs.
Speaking of the opportunity to attend this high-profile event Christopher said “The development of talent, entrepreneurship and skills with UK Plc is critical to our success as a nation. This is none more acutely felt than in the construction sector where a dearth of talent and the need to deliver large scale infrastructure projects including Hinckley B and HS2 is putting increasing pressure on a gradually diminishing ‘talent pool’ within the sector”.
“Every effort must be made to keep all relevant parties’ view firmly fixed on the need for more apprenticeships, more talent identification and development methods and greater skills development and training plans within the construction sector”.
A report will be posted following the event.
